IRS issues a number of announcementsNew FAQs Re: Employer Payroll Tax Deferral through December 31, 2020

The CARES Act allows employers to defer the deposit and payment of the employer's share of social security taxes and self-employed individuals to defer payment of certain self-employment taxes. These FAQs address specific issues related to the deferral of these taxes.

Extensions of Tax Filing, Payment, and other Deadlines

Treasury and the IRS announced more extensions of tax filing, payment, and other deadlines.

Finally, the IRS issued a reminder about electronic options for tax returns, refunds, and payments: https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-urges-taxpayers-to-use-electronic-options-outlines-online-assistance
This could be a helpful option for those amending returns due to NOL, QIP, or other reasons.
